Painting

Most masonry paint applications fail due to improper product use and application. For example, masonry retains water for long periods of time; if any paint application is applied to a wet masonry product, the paint will bubble and chip away due to the release of vapor. Paint is a vapor sealing product. Along with moisture, this same cause and effect will apply to leftover organic debris or soot.

Specialty paint products are a must for masonry. The few specialty products available and trusted have a different chemical makeup than standard paint involving resins and rubberized additives to secure and properly adhere to masonry.
